Mariama Blackman, FNP-C

Mariama “Mari” Blackman is a certified family nurse practitioner with six years of experience in pediatrics. She completed her nurse practitioner education at Herzing University.

Mari’s care approach is collaborative and focused on prevention. She partners with families to support healthy growth and development, prevent illness, and help parents feel confident in making decisions about their child’s health.

Mari was inspired to become a pediatric provider by her love of caring for children and supporting their development. Her nursing experience showed her how meaningful it is to build trusting relationships with children and their families while providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

One of the things Mari enjoys most about pediatrics is watching children grow and reach important milestones. She values the opportunity to make a positive difference in their health while providing parents with education, encouragement, and practical guidance.

Mari especially enjoys helping first-time parents navigate caring for a newborn or young child. She understands that this transition can bring uncertainty and anxiety, and she finds it rewarding to offer reassurance and help families build confidence as caregivers.
